This course is a review of 
Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche’s Teachings on Bötrül from Summer 2018.

In 2019, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will continue to teach on Bötrül’s masterful text Distinguishing the Views and Philosophies on Mipham Rinpoche’s presentation of the view of the Dzogchen vehicle by clarifying difficult points that include Madhyamaka tenets.

This course is open to all and ideal as a review for attendees of the summer 2018 and as a preparation for new students, who missed last year’s teachings on Bötrül Distinguishing Views and Philosophies.

BUD 810 Mahamudra Shamatha: The Ocean of Definitive Meaning

This course is an in-depth study of Dzoogchen Ponlop Rinpoche’s teachings on Mahamudra Shamatha based on The Ocean of Definitive Meaning (Ngedon Gyamtso) by the ninth Gyalwang Karmapa, Wangchuk Dorje (1556–1603). This text is exceptional for providing not only the general view and practices of Mahamudra, but also the rich methods of the oral instructions for realizing the nature of one’s mind, enlightenment.

This course is offered as a review option for prior Nitartha Mahamudra Shamtha students and as a requirement for new students who would like to join Level 2 of the Summer Institute 2019.
